Michael Shrieve is an American drummer, percussionist and songwriter. He is best known as the drummer for the rock band Santana, playing on the band's first seven albums from 1969 to 1974. Shrieve was the second young musician to perform at Woodstock in 1969, when he was new. His drum solo in "Soul Sacrifice" at Woodstock was described as "electric", even though he considered his drum solo better in 1970s "Soul Sacrifice" at Tanglewood.
